『機動戦士ガンダムサンダーボルト』の世界観の中で展開している様々な物語を綴る「外伝」である。
本書では2つの纏まりを収録している。
1つはジオン軍が地上へ降下する部隊を送り込み続け、新兵器のモビルスーツ“ザク”を駆使して、その行動を阻もうとする連邦軍の戦闘機隊等を蹴散らしていた。そうした中で奮戦する連邦軍の戦闘機隊の隊員達の物語だ。
もう1つは『機動戦士ガンダムサンダーボルト』の本編の展開の傍らで展開していたという物語だ。「一年戦争」から約1年、地球の中の諸勢力の一つでる「南洋同盟」が宇宙に出て行動を起こす野心を抱いている。間も無くその計画が本格始動しようという中、月での動きが在る。スパイアク -

Mobile Suit Gundam MSV-R Hero of the Universal Century Rainbow God Matsunaga The manga is interesting, but
the contents of volumes 1 to 9 also show the Universal Century in 2079 well,
so how about making Shin Matsunaga 2079 and the subsequent work as a sequel? -
