This book gave me a new perspective. Until now, I believed that changing my attitude depending on the person was a bad thing, and that being consistent in how I deal with people was almost a kind of virtue. But this idea—that the differences in our behavior are natural, and in fact, those variations form who we are—felt groundbreaking to me.
When I feel unhappy with myself, maybe it’s important to drastically change the balance of people I spend time with, and refresh my heart that way.
