この本、バーネットの名作なんです。岩波少年文庫では、上、下とあります。
この本を読んだきっかけは、ロアルド・ダール作、「マチルダは小さな大天才」のマチルダが好きだといっていたからです。本当にあるとは思っていなかったので、お母さんに紹介された時、びっくりしました。実際に読んでみると面白かったので、下も読みました。
植物が生き生きと、生まれ変わっていくのが、感動的でした。

Volume 2 of The Secret Garden. I don't remember the plot very well, but I guess it must have been okay because I finished it and not a lot of other books. I did really like "The Little Princess" in English when I was a girl, so reading this wasn't so out of character as it might seem, but now I prefer more mature subject matter.
