Your Best for a New Era
This book guides you through the journey of finding your life work, or mission-work that would bring you a deep sense of fulfillment and draw forth an imaginable power from within you. As is quoted below, this is an indispensable key for creating a new era. (Quoted from Introduction) Among the different occupations and types of activity, some are chosen by will while others are not. But the entirety of countless numbers of occupations and activities are indeed what make our society operate. Our bodies are made of 60 trillion cells, and these cells are composed of countless protein and DNA molecules. These come together in a whole to form a network inside the human body. Just like that, the various types of work carried out by individuals are certain to be joined together and resonate together like the instruments in an orchestra. They become the driving force that moves society…. What is important is that a mission-work that draws out our best is always prepared for everyone. Each person who puts everything into doing his best in their respective locations will resonate like an orchestra, one that continues to take up challenging new themes. That indeed would be the future that we should aim at.【※本作品はブラウザビューアで閲覧すると表組みのレイアウトが崩れて表示されることがあります。予めご了承下さい。】 -

From the very moment he falls from the chestnut tree, one “surprise” after another erupts in the forest! A big day of adventure begins, filled with astonishment and laughter shared with new friends. Kuribon had been singing happily in the tree when he suddenly drops to the ground and pops out of his prickly shell. Where have his chestnut siblings gone? As Kuribon searches for them, an acorn named Dongurin comes tumbling down—what a surprise! The two quickly become best friends. But then disaster strikes: a wild boar who “can’t stop once he starts running” sends them flying high into the air, and they land right on top of a bear! The bear leans in closer and closer… Are they going to be attacked? Eaten? What should he do—Kuribon! This surprise-filled day in the forest gently weaves together themes of friendship and kindness, while also introducing children to the fruits of autumn and forest animals through fun, nature-learning elements. With rhythmic sound effects and songs, the story celebrates the diversity and beauty of nature, where nuts and animals live together in harmony, and the importance of caring for friends in need. The Legacy of Kano Jigoro: Judo and Education
The founder of judo, Kano Jigoro, is a highly revered figure amongst those who pursue the sport. Little is known, however, about his various other achievements, from how he laid out the foundation for sports in Japanese education to his immense devotion and commitment to bringing the Olympic Games to Japan. Born in 1860, Kano showed his brightness from a young age and studied hard from childhood. After graduating from Tokyo Imperial University, the most prestigious school, he embarked on a teaching career which eventually led him to become the headmaster of the Tokyo Higher Normal School for a total of twenty-three years. This was just one of the many roles he undertook; aside from this he was chairman of the Japan Amateur Sports Association and became the first Asian member on the International Olympic Committee. And all the while he never ceased to develop and promote his creation, judo. For the first time, this comprehensive biography written by a team of Kano experts and researchers sheds light on the many dimensions of the legendary figure. It depicts how he truly lived life to the fullest by living out his own words-seiryoku zen’yo and jita kyoei-the best practical use of one’s energies and putting one’s efforts to good use for the benefit of both oneself and society. -
Blood Type B Is Vanishing Was Albert Einstein disliked?
Said to be the best physicist of the twentieth century, Albert Einstein has been treated as a strange person due to his unbelievable behavior and going at his own pace.It was caused by his blood type "B"! Other, if the Meiji Restoration leader, Takamori Saigo, was not B, would there really have been the Satsuma-Choshu Alliance? If Nobunaga Oda was not B type, would it not be killed by the Honno-ji Incident? ……etc. An interesting essay "for type B, for type B" that emerged from the blood type and behavior of celebrities. -

MONSTER MEN BUREIKO LULLABY
At long last, this underground Japanese classic has been translated into English. A seminal work of manga from the mid-1980s, Monster Men Bureiko Lullaby is a Candide-esque tale--if you can picture Candide as a mutated sperm brought to life by radioactivity. Unremittingly explicit, this is the comics equivalent of Henry Miller at his best: direct, honest and insightful while simultaneously beautiful and grotesque. Tokyo-based Takashi Nemoto, who was born in 1958, has been called the R. Crumb of Japan: Nemoto and Crumb share a similar, surreal drawing style and pessimistic, satirical stance, for which both have faced their share of negative criticism. Due to his unapologetically squalid subject matter, Nemoto has long been a controversial figure in Japan--clashing violently with mainstream Japanese morals--and is just now receiving some critical success there. Reviewers are finally looking past his gross-out humor to find far-flung influences and connections like Mark Twain, Otto Dix and Andre Masson.
