泥棒を生業とする夫・淳一と捜査一課の刑事である妻・真弓の風変わりな夫婦によるシリーズ第二弾。
今回のお話では仕事でエジプト展の大目玉である黄金のマスクを警備することになった真弓、しかし開催場所の美術館で殺人事件が発生し、また実は黄金のマスクが偽物だったことが発覚。これを受けて主催者は誰にも気づかれず...続きを読むに本物と偽物を取り替えようと考え、それを淳一に頼む。これを快諾した淳一、果たして彼はどのように仕事をこなすのか？そしてこのマスクに隠された思惑とは？
今回も淳一の冴えわたった思考に感心させられた。またこの作品は様々な人の考えが絡み合っていて読む手がどんどん進んですぐに読み終えた。次回にも期待したいと思う。

Second book of this series.
Okay, so I have to admit... the thief/husband is my favorite character, bar none. Man, that is one smooth criminal.
On t...続きを読むhe other hand, I was definitely getting exasperated with the cop/wife character. I mean, she throws herself at him at any given opportunity (though I will confess that i can understand her actions, judging how awesome her husband is), she gives the jealous stink eye at anyone of the female gender, she jumps to extremely dramatic conclusions and is really reckless in general. It really makes me wonder how she ever managed to get her police badge.
But then her character reminded me of Miss Piggy from the Muppets (haha, yes I had to make a reference to the Muppets. I just saw the movie... Can you tell? It was fantastic by the way.) She's super tough, doesn't take crap from no one, will do almost anything to get what she wants, thinks highly of herself and most of all, is hopelessly in love with a certain special someone.
And for that reason, I will forgive her character flaws. She is a woman in love and I commend her for being able to honestly display her affections, whether if it's appropriate or not in certain times, places or occasions.

泥棒と刑事シリーズ第2弾
短編がはいっているので、読みやすいです。
第2弾より第1弾のほうがすきだったかな。
相変わらず、中のよい
愛のある夫婦。
泥棒と刑事で成り立つ夫婦生活が面白いです。
