大河ドラマ「平清盛」や主演ドラマ「TOKYOエアポート」などの撮影の合間を縫ったタイトなスケジュールのなか、この写真集のためにカラダ作りを行って、ロケにのぞみました。向かった先はハワイ・オアフ島。役を演じることに真面目すぎるくらいひたむきな女優は、「陽気なイメージが苦手だった」というこの島で、身も心も癒され、そして開放されて――。「30代を迎えた自分の大切なスタートにしたい」という本人の気持ちがこもったこの作品には、「女優・深田恭子」の素直なありのままの表情・姿が収められています。水着での海辺のシーンやイルカとの触れ合いカットも多数収録。女性らしい愛らしい姿をおしげもなく見せてくれました。撮影は、気鋭のフォトグラファー・ND CHOW氏。ロングインタビューや幼少期の写真、映画やドラマで共演した俳優やスタッフからのコメントも収録。クロニクル的な内容で、深田恭子の知られざる一面も垣間見られることと思います。
